The Human Thyroid Peroxidase ELISA quantitates Hu Thyroid Peroxidase in human serum, plasma, or cell culture medium. The assay will exclusively recognize both natural and recombinant Hu Thyroid Peroxidase. Principle of the method The Human Thyroid Peroxidase solid-phase sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is designed to measure the amount of the target bound between a matched antibody pair. A target-specific antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Samples, standards, or controls are then added into these wells and bind to the immobilized (capture) antibody. The sandwich is formed by the addition of the second (detector) antibody, a substrate solution is added that reacts with the enzyme-antibody-target complex to produce measurable signal. The intensity of this signal is directly proportional to the concentration of target present in the original specimen. Rigorous validation Each manufactured lot of this ELISA kit is quality tested for criteria such as sensitivity, specificity, precision, and lot-to-lot consistency. Ce gène code une glycoprotéine liée à la membrane. La protéine codée agit comme une enzyme et joue un rôle central dans la fonction de la glande thyroïde. La protéine fonctionne dans l’iodation des résidus de tyrosine dans la formation de thyroglobuline et de phénoxy-ester entre les paires de tyrosines iodés pour générer les hormones thyroïdiennes, la thyroxine et la triiodothyronine. Les mutations de ce gène sont associées à plusieurs troubles de l’hormonogénèse thyroïdienne, notamment l’hypothyroïdie congénitale, le goitre congénital et le défaut d’organification de l’hormone thyroïdienne IIA. Plusieurs variantes de transcription qui codent des isoformes distinctes ont été identifiées pour ce gène. Des variantes de transcription épissées supplémentaires ont été décrites, mais leurs natures biologiques n’ont pas été déterminées.
