Description

Trifluoroacetic anhydride is used for the introduction of trifluoroacetyl group in organic synthesis. It is involved in the preparation of N- and O-trifluoroacetyl derivatives of a wide range of biologically active compounds for gas chromatography analysis. It plays an important role as desiccant for trifluoroacetic acid. It is also used in the oxidation of aldehydes to acids, esters, amides as well as in the protection of alcohols and amines. In addition, it is used as analytical reagents, solvents and dehydration condensing agent. It serves as an intermediate of fluorine fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals.

Applications
L’anhydride trifluoroacétique est utilisé pour l’introduction du groupe trifluoroacétyle en synthèse organique. Il participe à la préparation de dérivés N- et O-trifluoroacétylés d’une large gamme de composés biologiquement actifs pour l’analyse chromatographique en phase gazeuse. Il joue un rôle important en tant que dessiccant pour l’acide trifluoroacétique. Il est également utilisé dans l’oxydation des aldéhydes en acides, esters et amides ainsi que dans la protection des alcools et des amines. En outre, il est utilisé comme réactif analytique, solvant et agent de condensation de déshydratation. Il sert d’intermédiaire pour les produits chimiques fins au fluor, les produits pharmaceutiques et les produits agrochimiques.

Solubilité
Miscible au benzène, au dichlorométhane, à l’éther diéthylique, au diméthylformamide, au tétrahydrofurane et à l’acétonitrile.

Remarques
Hygroscopique et sensible à l’humidité. Gardez le récipient hermétiquement fermé dans un endroit sec et bien ventilé. Incompatible avec les agents oxydants forts, les bases fortes, les acides forts et les alcools.
