Description
Titanium nitride is a hard ceramic material used as a coating on titanium alloys, steel, carbide and aluminum components. It finds application in jewelry and high-performance ceramic materials due to its gold colored surface and in medical devices such as scalpel blades and orthopedic bone saw blades. Further, it is used as a conductive barrier in microelectronics and electrodes in bioelectronic applications.
