Description

Sulfur trioxide-trimethylamine complex acts as a reagent for sulfonation and sulfamation reactions. It is used as a reactant for the synthesis of sulfate-conjugated resveratrol metabolites and chitooligosaccharides. It is used in association with dodecyl thioglycopyranoside, which acts as a surfactant for enantiomeric separation. Further, it acts as a nucleophile used for the preparation of alfa-tosyloxy ketones.

Applications
Le complexe trioxyde de soufre-triméthylamine agit comme réactif pour les réactions de sulfonation et de sulfamation. Il est utilisé comme réactif pour la synthèse des métabolites de resvératrol conjugués au sulfate et des chitooligosaccharides. Il est utilisé en association avec le dodécyl thioglycopyranoside, qui agit comme surfactant pour la séparation énantiomérique. Solubilité
Soluble dans l’eau chaude et l’éthanol. Légèrement soluble dans le diméthylsulfoxyde et le méthanol. Insoluble dans l’eau.

Remarques
Sensible à l’humidité. Incompatible avec les agents oxydants forts.
