Description
Platinum-iridium wire is used in platinum jewelry, particularly watch cases. They have been used for spinnerets in the manufacture of synthetic fibers; in metrology and in fabrication of metal microelectrodes. It is used in the electrical stimulation of nervous tissue and in electrophysiological recordings. Pt/Ir alloy has been used in mechanical and electrochemical devices.
