FAP Monoclonal Antibody (F11-24), eBioscience™, Invitrogen™
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Marque: Invitrogen BMS168
Description
Description: BMS168 (F11-24) specifically reacts with Fibroblast Activation Protein (FAP), a cell surface glycoprotein of reactive human fibroblast. Among the normal adult organs tested BMS168 does not show immunoreactivity in immunohistological studies with either resting fibroblasts (fibrocytes) of the normal organ mesenchyme or the parenchymal cells. The single exception noted is a subset of endocrine cells in the pancreatic islets, presumably glucagon-producing A cells. Applications Tested: Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Immunoprecipitation.
The protein encoded by this gene is a homodimeric integral membrane gelatinase belonging to the serine protease family. It is selectively expressed in reactive stromal fibroblasts of epithelial cancers, granulation tissue of healing wounds, and malignant cells of bone and soft tissue sarcomas. This protein is thought to be involved in the control of fibroblast growth or epithelial-mesenchymal interactions during development, tissue repair, and epithelial carcinogenesis.Spécification
