Description

Diphenyl phosphate is used in the manufacture of phosphoric acid diesters such as triphenyl phosphate, trixylenyl phosphate, isodecyl diphenyl phosphate, cresyl diphenyl phosphate and isopropylphenyl diphenyl phosphate. It is widely used as a protective agent for hydroxyl group in organic synthesis. It finds application as an additive for paints and coatings.

Applications
Le phosphate de diphényle est utilisé dans la fabrication de diesters d’acide phosphorique tels que le phosphate de triphényle, le phosphate de trixylényle, le phosphate de diphényle d’isodécyle, le phosphate de diphényle de crésyle et le phosphate de diphényle d’isopropylphényle. Il est largement utilisé comme agent protecteur pour le groupe hydroxyle dans la synthèse organique. Il s’utilise comme additif pour les peintures et les revêtements.

Solubilité
Soluble dans le benzène. Insoluble dans l’eau.

Remarques
Incompatible avec les agents oxydants forts.
