Description
Amberlyst™ 15(H) is a strongly acidic cation exchange resin used as a heterogeneous acid catalysis and is suitable for non-aqueous catalysis. It is used to determine the mechanism of phenol alkylation using density functional theory (DFT). It is widely utilized as a column packing material for HPLC analysis. It is employed in separation media for Thin-layer chromatography (TLC) and paper chromatography. It is used in various chemical reactions like esterification, transesterification, Michael addition, Prins cyclization, Friedel-Crafts alkylation, acylation, cleavage of epoxides and crossed-aldol condensation.
This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.
