Description

2,2,2-Trichloroethyl chloroformate is used as a protecting reagent for aliphatic and aromatic hydroxyl and amino groups. It is used as derivatizing reagent in gas chromatographic/mass spectrometric determination of a large range of amphetamine-related drugs and ephedrines in plasma, urine and hair samples, during N-demethylation of dextromethorphan. It was used as starting reagent during the synthesis of 6-Nor-9,10-dihydrolysergic acid methyl ester.

Applications
Le chloroformiate de 2,2,2-trichloroéthyle sert de réactif de protection pour les groupes hydroxyles et amino aliphatiques et aromatiques. Il sert de réactif de dérivation dans la détermination par chromatographie en phase gazeuse/spectrométrie de masse d’une large gamme de médicaments liés à l’amphétamine et d’éphédrines dans des échantillons de plasma, d’urine et de cheveux, lors de la déméthylation en N du dextrométhorphane. Il a servi de réactif de départ lors de la synthèse de l’ester méthylique d’acide 6-Nor-9,10-dihydrolysergique.

Solubilité
Soluble dans l’éther, le benzène, le chloroforme, l’éthanol. Insoluble dans l’eau.

Remarques
Sensible à l’humidité. Dessécher à 4°C. Stocker sous un gaz inerte. Les matières incompatibles sont les agents oxydants forts.
