Description
1H,1H,2H,2H-Perfluorooctyltriethoxysilane is used as an active component of fluorine modified ORMOCER (organically modified ceramics) coating materials. It is a fluorine based polymer having low surface free energy, enhances its anti-adhesive behavior of polar and non-polar substances. Its wetting property acts in repelling aqueous electrolyte solution away from metallic substrates, thereby giving protection to metal substrate from corrosion. It is utilized in the surface modification of glass nanoparticles.

ApplicationsLe1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorooctyltriéthoxysilane est utilisé comme composant actif des matériaux ORMOCER, sous forme de revêtement, (céramique organiquement modifiée) modifiés en présence de fluor. Il s’agit d’un polymère à base de fluorure ayant une faible tension superficielle, ce qui renforce son potentiel anti-adhésif pour les substances polaires et apolaires. Sa propriété de mouillage agit en repoussant la solution électrolytique aqueuse des substrats métalliques, protégeant ainsi le substrat métallique de la corrosion. Il est utilisé dans la modification de surface des nanoparticules de verre.
Solubilité
Miscible avec l’alcool, les hydrocarbures aromatiques et aliphatiques.
Remarques
Sensible à l’humidité. Incompatible avec l’humidité et les agents oxydants.
